Midwestern Career College’s ESL program offers intensive, CEA-accredited English language courses from Beginner to Advanced levels (A1–C2) that focus on providing non-native English speakers with the essential English language, academic, and cultural skills they need to further their education in the USA or gain better employment opportunities. Our English classes focus on the fundamental language learning skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar, and our instructors use a variety of real-world activities—interviews, dialogues, role-plays, language-games, and others—to give students opportunities to naturally develop and use their English skills. Once students reach the post-advanced level (C2) or may already be at the post-advanced level (C2) and would like to further their English learning, we offer additional specialized English programs with flexible schedules, such as:
- English for Academic Purposes: Develop the academic skills and USA cultural understanding needed to prepare for USA colleges and university admissions, and prepare for testing in TOEFL, IELTS, and academic writing.
- Professional English: Further develop your English language and communication skills to work and speak effectively with English-speaking clients or professional environments.
- English for Healthcare: Learn the essential English language and communication skills needed to work in the major healthcare systems or English-speaking organizations.
Once students have completed their English studies, they can either easily transition into our accredited OR students can also directly apply to our 2-year accredited associate degree programs that offer degrees in high-demand fields in today’s job markets and offer flexible, hybrid schedule options. We offer business degree programs that cover business, technology, and healthcare fields, including:
- Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration
- Associate of Applied Science in Accounting
