To qualify, students must have a TOEFL score of at least 480, except as authorized by the Associate Director for International Admissions. Awards are based upon scholastic achievement, participation in co-curricular activities such as music, sports, or drama, community service, and financial need.

Wartburg College offers scholarships for international students ranging up to $27,000 per year, depending on academic merit, financial need, and participation in activities and community service.
