Grant designed to encourage research and promote the study of cultural, political, historical, economic, and social aspects of contemporary German affairs from inter- and multidisciplinary perspectives. The grant may be used for short-term research (one to two months) in either North America or Germany.

Other Criteria | Applicants are expected to have completed two years of college German and a minimum of three courses in German Studies (literature, history, politics or other fields) at the time of nomination. Grants are restricted to citizens of the US who are enrolled full time at the university that nominates them. Applicants must be younger than 32 at the start of the grant period. |
