Since the field of researching covers a large range of topics, it’s imperative to structure your resume towards
a specific company’s ideologies and focus. Tailor each resume specifically to the career you are applying for,
including experience, classes, knowledge and skills.
If applicable, include undergraduate/graduate research, research projects, fellowships and grants, teaching
experience, and professional experience that will help your resume stand out among the competition. Remember
that there is a lot of flexibility with this resume specifically, so have fun with it!
Key points to remember:

Keep the focus – The field of research is unique in the simple fact that career possibilities are
endless. Of course, in the same aspect it’s important to keep your resume as focused as possible towards the
specific job you want to obtain.

What interests you – If you are applying for a research position that you may not have any
experience in, be sure to list it in your ‘Research Interests’ section, so it shows your potential employer
that you are genuinely interested in a topic even if you don’t have the experience.
