Sample Corporate Attorney Resume

Corporate attorney resumes are required to be tailored with an emphasis on education and overall qualifications. Employers will quickly eliminate candidates who don’t list passage of the Bar exam or based on where they attended law school. In addition, specific software programs should be included under the Skills portion, proving that you are adept to become a corporate attorney.

While education software awareness is important, your experience should be front and center. Even if you have yet to work at a law firm, any school experience on the debate team, legal teams or business society are imperative and good additions to your resume. This shows initiative in school and desire to expand your knowledge of law.

Key points to remember:

Be sure to include your law school GPA and Bar school passage
Include any prestigious organizations you were involved in during law school
Be sure to list your knowledge of computer and software programs
Keep your resume focused on related experiences and leave out the fluff
