Martin Dada from Appalachian State University
Martin Dada is the Associate Director of International Admissions and Recruitment atAppalachian State University. He grew up in Nigeria where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. In pursuit of further education, he traveled as an international student to Montreal, Canada, where he earned his Master’s degree.
Upon arriving in the US, Martin also advanced his studies, and earned a Ph.D. He is widely traveled, and brings with him a multicultural world view and a diverse educational background from studying in three countries. Moreover, Martin is vast in international education, especially the American educational system from the perspective of a graduate student and a university international education administrator. These experiences enable him to support international students in various ways seeking to start or continue their education in the United States.
Appalachian State University has a growing diverse group of international students from nearly 30 countries. In his current role, Martin advises prospective international students and guides them through their college search, application and admissions process and scholarships and financial aid resources. Additionally, Martin evaluates applications and academic credentials to finally make the admissions decision.
