Ahmed Abdelrahman is the Assistant Director of International Admissions at Maryville College. Maryville College is a four-year undergraduate liberal arts college that was founded in 1819. It is one of the oldest colleges in the United States and is known for its academic rigor and focus on the liberal arts and sciences. The college has a diverse group of international students from nearly 30 countries. Ahmed grow up in Cairo, Egypt where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He came to the United States to earn his Master’s and Ph.D. His multicultural and diverse educational background and his knowledge of the American educational system as a graduate student, as an educator and as an admissions officer enable him to effectively advise international students seeking to start or continue their education in the United States. In his current role, Ahmed advises prospective international students and guides them through their college search, application and admissions process and scholarships and financial aid resources. In addition, he evaluates applications and academic credentials to finally make the admissions decision. As one of Maryville College’s DSO, Ahmed also provides immigration advising and support to future and current Maryville College international students.
