Federal Tax Return Deadline Update: May 17th
As many
of you have already heard, while Tax Day is typically on April
15th every year, the IRS has changed the deadline for the second
year in a row to accommodate during COVID-19. Students will now
have until May 17th to file their federal tax returns. Our Form
8843 Wizard will populate the required tax form for students
after they provide the necessary tax information. In addition to
our wizard, we have other helpful resources in our Student
Tax Return section including step-by-step instructions
on how to file, student tax FAQs, tax preparation videos and
information on a tax preparation service. Feel free to share our
helpful tax resource section or our upcoming live event link
where your students can ask a tax expert from Sprintax their tax
questions.

Announcement: Lead Export Improvement
Spring is
officially here and we could not think of a better time to
announce new improvements to help keep you organized. As of the
first week of April, when you export your leads to a .CSV file
you will notice that the first name and last name of your leads
will be in separate columns. Additionally, each component of
their address will be broken down by column for an easier upload
into your CRM. We have received many requests for this update
recently and it is our goal to continuously improve the services
we provide our clients while making your recruitment process as
easy as possible.
When exporting your leads into a .CSV file, you can either
export the entire list or filter based upon a specific time
period. Simply follow the steps below to get started:
-
Login
to your InternationalStudent.com admin account
- Click ‘View Dashboard’
- Click the envelope on the right hand side
- Select the date range at the bottom
- Select download leads
- Click ‘Search’
- Your leads will automatically download as a .CSV file
If you have any questions on this change please do not hesitate
to reach
out.

During this webinar, we will discuss how the shift from
traditional to online learning impacts an international
student’s cultural experience and dive into ways you can keep
students engaged and interacting with each other in a virtual

Social Media Tip: Have Students Help Run Your Social
It might
seem like a risky idea to give a student control of your
institution’s social media, however, doing so could increase
your institution’s reach. We recommend seeking out international
student influencers at your school who have already established
a sizable following on social media to run your account for a
few days. These students will already have a background in
content creation and will be able to reach their follower base.
Plus, having a student run your account will give prospective
students a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a student at
your institution. Find a student, establish their guidelines and
goals, then give it a try!
