This month we are proud to announce that the
Travel Video Contest Finalists are in! If you want to hear their stories
make sure you watch their videos and stay tuned as the winners will be
announced on the last day of International Education Week (IEW),
November 17th! Although it’s already November the year is not over and
we still have plenty of ways for you to get involved as an international
student. Watch our re-cap of the Valencia College live event, join a
live event with CollegeWeekLive, hear what 11 international students
have to say about sexual assault, or share with us what you've got
planned for Thanksgiving and IEW!

The Travel Video Contest Finalists Are In!
 We
are thrilled to announce the 2017 Travel Video Contest Finalists and Viewers’ Choice
Award winner! We received videos from around the world and we couldn’t be more pleased
with the talent that was reflected in each one. The videos were impressive and we are
honored to have such unique stories and dreams shared with us.
The votes came
pouring in to determine who would take home the Viewers’ Choice Award. We are delighted
to share that "Making the US my New Home" by Juan Sebastian Bayona Carrillo was your top
choice. "Making the US my New Home" will join the other 14 finalists for a chance to win
the $4,000 grand prize. Stay tuned while our judges panel makes the final decision on
who will win a first, second and third place prize. The winners will be announced on the
last day of International Education Week: November 17th.

How Are You Celebrating? Share It With Us!
It’s hard to believe that November is already here, but if you’re located in the US
that means you can look forward to two great events this month: Thanksgiving on November
23rd and International Education Week (IEW) November 13th-17th. Both of these are sure
to provide you with plenty of time with friends and lots of fun- and we want to hear
about it!

International Student Insurance just released their newest video on sexual assault prevention and awareness. Watch this video where you’ll see 11 international students talk about their experience dealing with sex, sexual assault and consent back in their home country and in the US.
It’s almost the end of the year, a time to retreat and celebrate the holidays, but not for our
