Travel Video Contest - Grand Prize $4,000
|
The
2013 InternationalStudent.com Travel Video Contest is officially open! We have been
fielding scores of questions about the contest already, so everything you need you
can find from our contest
page. Budding filmmakers, talented storytellers, videographers and
performers, and anyone with a compelling story to tell - get your video to us by the
23 October 2013 deadline for the eighth annual contest.
|
The Grand Prize
is $4,000, the Viewer's Choice award is $1,000 and automatic entry into the Finalist
round, and there are also runner-up prizes. For the video itself, you get five
minutes or less to tell us about your proposed study abroad, or if you are already
an international student, to tell us about any trip you would like to take. We can't
wait to see the first entries!

With the multitude
of things you will need to organize for the new semester, don't forget your student
health insurance. Not only could it save you money when compared to purchasing your
school's insurance plan, without insurance you could be placed in severe debt if you
do fall sick. Check out our Overview
of the US Healthcare Video to learn more.
|
We make it easy for
last minute purchasers. The Student
Secure plan starts at just $28/month and it meets most school insurance
requirements! You can apply
online and receive instant confirmation - the process can be done in as
little as 10 minutes.

compares book offers from thousands of sellers for new, used and rental books, and

August was our
second month hosting a guest international student advisor readily available to
answer questions from real international students. We received many great questions
and
Deborah
Parris from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University answered the top ten. Check
out what other international students asked and what Deborah had to say -
hopefully it will also provide you with the answers you need!
|
If your questions
weren't answered ask our September guest advisor Mina
Morgan from The Language Company and make sure you check out next month's
newsletter for more answers on being an international student.

CORT

furniture rental packages for as little as $99 a month for a one-bedroom apartment.
A hassle-free, affordable alternative to buying and moving furniture during your
