Going to new places, meeting new people, and creating connections; coming to the U.S. will give me that and much more opportunities. Architectural engineering is not a career available in Colombia but since it has always been the career of my dreams I knew I had to go somewhere else to find it. Nowadays the climate change is affecting our lives and the future of the planet, with architectural engineering I want to impact the world through innovation and smart buildings where sustainability is my number one goal, I want to contribute by reducing our footprint through the buildings where we live just so our successors can still enjoy this beautiful planet. Because of my economic situation, I never considered this dream to come true but it has been because of all the people that have helped me that Im here right now and I want to be able to help others in the future by giving them a similar chance, because it is only because of community that Im here right now, pursuing my dream of becoming an arc. engineer.
