From an early age, I've always wanted to travel the world! When I enrolled in industrial engineering at a public university in Colombia, where I'm from, I discovered a program in my student's affairs office that allowed the students to take one semester abroad. After that, I studied hard to apply, and a couple of months later I got one of the three spots for an academic exchange at the University of Oklahoma in the US. This achievement meant for me that when you work hard for something in your life, nothing is impossible! However, the Covid-19 changed the initial plan I had for traveling in the fall, and my exchange got postpone for spring 2021. As an engineering student, I've learned that every obstacle in life comes with a better opportunity, the privilege to challenge yourself, and skills development, like in this case, adaptability! - Jackson Ferley Serrano Agredo, Colombia
