My journey starts from my small village in Piauf State, Brazil. As a child my family and I used to eat something called "bichinho do coco", a worm from the cocoa nut. My story continues through the chronicles of my education, an internship working at the YMCA in Texas, a humanitarian trip back to Brazil where a group of me and my friends visited an extremely needy village near where I grew up. My story continues from where I am currently studying at Florida State University (FSU). I speak about meeting many interesting people from all over the world and learning a lot about their diverse cultures. One of my best friends at FSU is from Jordan and she has been teaching me a lot, such as her language and how they live. I discuss my plans to travel to Jordan to experience more about their culture. I close the story speaking about my ultimate goal of using my life experiences to positively influence my friends, family and students. This story is not only about me. It is also about how wonderful it is to meet and learn about other people and their priceless cultures.
