In my video, I wanted to demonstrate my passion for travel. I truly believe that traveling is not an expense. It is an investment and I believe that you should invest in me. I chose the piggy bank as a way of representing this concept. I brought it to many locations throughout Rome and used friends and locals to demonstrate that every person, experience or place is an opportunity to grow. If I am chosen as a winner, I would like to use the scholarship for my roommate, Laura, and I. We met while studying abroad in Rome and she is one of the kindest people I have met, who deserves an opportunity like this. We have both lived in Florida our entire lives and are desperate for a winter wonderland of Christmas. While our trip is not completely planned we would attempt to visit a minimum of four countries to learn about different winter activities, holiday traditions and hopefully see snow! International education is about learning through new experiences and we would both like to experience these ‘seasons’ that everyone keeps talking about.
